Jammu, June 20: While the government is claiming huge response from the migrant Pandits in the implementation process of their return, Panun Kashmir has termed the return of ‘few hundred Pandit families as a politically motivated move.’

In a statement, Panun Kashmir said its Political Affairs Committee met under the chairmanship of its convener, Dr. Agnishekhar wherein the members observed that the move to execute ‘symbolic return of few hundred families to transit camps in the valley was politically motivated.’

“Trivializing the issue of exodus and genocide of Kashmiri Pandits by the state of India tantamount to the strengthening of the separatist forces in the valley”, the meeting observed. “Given the security scenario in the valley and the unconstitutional and draconian conditions attached to the employment package resulting in forcing hundreds of female folks of Kashmiri Pandits to accept employment is a stark blackmail causing the worry and anxiety to the community in general and their parents in particular.”

The meeting also expressed dismay and shock over the involvement of KP members of Apex Committee, constituted by state government for the return and rehabilitation of the community, by maintaining a stoic silence over the issue.
