SSP Srinagar transferred

Srinagar, June 20: In wake of recurring firing incidents in old city, state government on Sunday replaced the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Srinagar and ordered a major reshuffle in the police department.
The SSP Srinagar, Javaid Riyaz has been transferred and posted as SSP Traffic Srinagar, while SSP CI, Kashmir A H Bukhari has been posted as SSP Srinagar, an official spokesman said.
Uttam Chand, SP Kupwara has been transferred and posted as SP CI, Kashmir vice A H Bukhari, Vidhi Kumar Birdi, SP East, Srinagar is transferred and posted as SP Kupwara vice Uttam Chand. Vidhi Kumar Birdi would handover the charge to Sheikh Zulfikar Azad, SDPO, Kothibagh, Srinagar.
Ghulam Sarwar Chouhan SO to IGP Traffic JK is transferred and posted as Commandant, JKAP, 13th Bn against Ram Rattan Sharma.
Showkat Hussain, SP, Traffic, Srinagar is transferred and posted as SP North, Srinagar vice Abdul Rashid.
Muhammad Yousuf Mir, Addl. SP, Kupwara is transferred and posted as Commandant IRP 2nd Bn against an available vacancy.
Abdul Rashid, SP North, Srinagar is transferred and posted as Addl SP Kupwara vice Muhammad Yousuf Mir.
Abdul Razak Khan, SP South, Jammu is transferred and posted as SO to IGP Traffic JK.
Rajeshwar Singh, SP City Udhampur is transferred and posted as SP South Jammu vice Abdul Razak Khan.
Aijaz Ahmad Mir, SDPO, Hazratbal is transferred and posted as SDPO, M R Gunj, Srinagar.
Azhar Bashir Baba, Dy. SP Police Component Srinagar is transferred and posted as SDPO, Hazratbal.
M L Kaith, Dy. SP, Hqrs. Jammu is transferred and posted as SDPO, Gandhinagar, Jammu.
Vinay Kumar, Dy. SP DAR Kathua is transferred and posted as Dy. SP CID (SS-II) CID Headquarters.
Abdul Hamid, SDPO, M R Gunj Srinagar is transferred and posted as Dy. SP IRP 10th Bn.
K S Jasrotia, SDPO, Gandhinagar, Jammu is transferred and posted as Dy. SP JKAP XIII Bn.
