Do something

For the past few weeks much has been said about the fake encounters. Kashmir was still mourning over the Machil fake encounter when another innocent teenager, Tufail Ahmad Matoo, was killed. A government that can’t protect civilians can’t claim to represent people. If our government has any respect for human rights and if human life means anything to them, then it is time to wake up and do something to stop such atrocities. Mere condemnations will not suffice. And if the government is not able to do so it has no right to rule and on moral grounds should resign.
