Mughal dies in Mughal Road mishap

Rajouri, June 21: An Assistant Executive Engineer of Public Works Department working on the historic Mughal Road project was killed in a mishap near Poshana Poonch on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Muhammad Younis Mughal of Gursai Mendhar. He was 46.
Sources said, the incident happened when AEE’s official vehicle was hit by a boulder killing the engineer on the spot and injuring his driver critically.
Sources said, the engineer was working on the project from the past three years and today he was on duty to clear the road for motor car rally being organised by the Tourism department on June 26.
Soon after the incident, his body was shifted to native village in Gursai and laid to rest.
The Minister for R&B, G M Saroori has expressed grief over the demise Muhammad Younis Mughal.
In his message, he said Mughal was one of the most dedicated and honest engineers of PWD.
The Minister of State for R&B, Javaid Ahmed Dar expressed sympathies with the bereaved and said the department had lost a dedicated engineer who played his role in the historical project.
Meanwhile, condolence meetings were held by the graduate engineers association and Al Huda Educational Trust to pay rich tributes to the deceased engineer.
