Separatists anguished over killings

Srinagar: Anguished over the killing of innocent Kashmiris by the armed forces, the incarcerated senior separatist leader and Democratic Freedom Party president, Shabir Ahmad Shah has appealed to the people to maintain unity and continue the struggle for freedom with full force.
 “The forces have been given freehand to carry out genocide of Kashmiris. We have to fight and scuttle their nefarious designs. We are required to forge unity and continue the struggle shoulder to shoulder with one other and take the mission of martyrs to its logical end,” said Shah, according to Party statement. 
 Condemning the killings, the Mahaz-e-Azadi president, Mir Muhammad Iqbal has appealed to the international community to pressurize India to put an immediate halt to rights violations allegedly perpetrated by the armed forces in J&K. 
 In a statement, Mir said, “Peace will continue to be a far fetched dream in the subcontinent until Kashmir issue is resolved in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of its people.”
