Dy CM calls on Lok Sabha Speaker

Srinagar, June 22: Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand Tuesday called on the Lok Sabha Speaker,  Meira Kumar.
 An official handout said Tara Chand briefed Meira Kumar about the developmental activities in the state.
 “Mrs Kumar was also informed about the liberal funding by the Centre to the state of Jammu and Kashmir for implementation of numerous developmental and welfare projects,” it added.
 “Mrs Kanta Devi, wife of Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand was also present on the occasion. She exchanged pleasantries with Meira Kumar,” the handout said adding Chand presented a memento to Meira Kumar.
