Rare manuscripts showcased for POs

Srinagar, June 22: The visiting dignitaries who attended the PO’s conference in Srinagar on Tuesday visited an exhibition of centuries old manuscripts and specimens showcased in their honor by Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages at its Lal Mandi headquarters.
 An official handout said the exhibition “showcased a collection of rarest manuscripts and miniature paintings.”
 “In the manuscripts section there are 592 manuscripts on mysticism, vedant, Islamiat, languages and literature, history, mathematics, palmistry. politics, sociology and music. All of them were on display,” it added.
 Speaking on the sidelines of the exhibition, Speaker of Mizoram Legislative Assembly, R Romawia said it was a lifetime opportunity for him to be a part of the event.
 Commenting on the PO’s and Secretaries conference, Speaker of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Mohammed Akbar Lone said that it was a successful meet.’
