Herein lies the solution
KASHMIR
IF WE FOLLOW ISLAM IN THE REAL SPIRIT, ALL OUR WORRIES WILL BE GONE FOR GOOD, WRITES SYED ARSHAD HUSSAIN KASHANI
Umar bin Khitab (RA) the second Caliph and one of the most powerful and able administrator ever born says; we were the worst nation, Allah bestowed us with the dignity through Islam, now when we try to gain the respect outside Islam (other than what Islam advocates), Allah will discard us.
He is one among those who understood Islam and then addressed the problems of his time by that standard only. The complete submission is what made them great, as they stand honored. What made them finally dominate the world is their total submission to Allah as required and once there is submission to Allah; the rest is taken care of by Allah Himself. That is where one should have faith, the powerful equipment ever in possession of man for any challenge.
Going back to history is to learn, correct the mistakes, take the lead, abandon the prohibited and embrace the ordered. World over Kashmir echoes as the state in problem. The fact is that Kashmiris are in trouble; we are suffering in our own homeland. We have a big lot available today who have made us behave like that they are there to take us to dignified heights. They occupied the place of the leaders and try to be rooted there at the limelight with the solid claims that they are able persons to lead us with the right road map to take Kashmiris out of miseries. Interestingly the contrasting roadmaps are projected as the right one by the respective leaders. Though it takes time for the changes like that but one has the duty to check whether or not the claims are really those we are made to believe.
In the crowd of this class (leaders) we see mainstream camp especially NC, Congress and PDP and then the separatist camp especially Hurriyat(s), the two at contrasting fronts but each claiming that they are the right one for the welfare of the Kashmiris. The division is unfortunately in the public as well. Thus we could see we are attended by contrasting thoughts for the same issue as all claim to be rational. There is one segment, the separatist camp, majority of which take the Kashmir problem with religious background (Islamic lines). Among them there are two prominent factions one each lead by Geelani and one by Umar Farooq. Both of them have followers. There is another faction lead by M. Yasin Malik.
Geelani and Umar Farooq have reiterated that their stand is to take Kashmir out of miseries and both of them have a strong religious background. That is where hope rests and we feel offended as well when they violate Islamic principles. To take Kashmir out of miseries should be as per Islamic lines as we are Muslims and it is our fundamental duty to follow Islam completely (Al-Ahzab-36). This is our duty from Allah which is to be respected above any issue. If we fight for the right of UNO and ignore duties of Allah, the disaster is inevitable. What Kashmir is and where Kashmir should be is above the guidelines of UNO; UNO has double standard, clearly exposed as East Timor, Palestine etc clearly vouch for the same. Islam guides and protects us better than UNO; and we need to ascertain our duties first and attempt to respect that. We need to take care of our duties and Allah will surely help us. It is the life with dignity that should be the target and to be there, we need to surrender before Islam. Today society is violating the duties of Allah, these leaders are aware of that but no corrections are attempted.
Without knowing about the basics of our religion we can't imagine of taking our people out of the misery they are in. That is what history teaches us and that is what we must keep in mind if we are serious in serving our people.
