Videocon d2h brings satellite range of products to India

Srinagar, June 24: Videocon d2h — the Direct-to-Home service provider arm of Videocon Group— has become the first company to offer customers across India Satellite Blu Ray, Satellite DVD, Satellite Sound Bar and Satellite Box (STB), the company in a statement said.
Anil Khera, CEO Bharat Business Channel Ltd (BBCL) - DTH venture of the Videocon Group, said “Videocon d2h has invested in state-of-the-art digital infrastructure at Greater Noida and has partnered with global leaders in digital technology like Irdeto for the pay television market. The ST1 satellite enables Videocon d2h to offer superior picture and sound quality.”
The satellite products offered by Videocon d2h can receive DTH services with the latest MPEG-4 & DVB S2 technology and is available in the market at a price range starting from Rs 1390. This also includes a 4 month Gold Sports Pack subscription worth Rs 900 free under the “Golden Goal Offer” targeted at the Football World Cup with all sports channels like ESPN, Star Sports in the package.
The DTH operators are creating value added services for their customers by bringing in high-definition (HD) content as a separate bouquet. Viewers are finally set to get a taste of high-definition television viewing. Khera is confident that Videocon d2h is geared up to this challenge and has introduced Satellite Bluray in the markets to meet this growing need of customers.
