5-day training program on IT Tools concludes

Srinagar, June 25: The five-day residential training program “IT Tools for Executive Secretaries and Non-IT Professionals” concluded here today.
The programme, which was organized by National Productivity Council (NPC) under union ministry of Commerce and Industry, was the first of its kind in Srinagar. The programme was aimed at promoting productivity culture in terms of quality, competitiveness and integrated socio-economic development, a statement here said.
It said during 2009-10 the NPC has organized over 250 such training and capacity building programs across the country. “Forty one participants from public and private sector organizations, autonomous bodies/departments as well as from Central and State Government Departments from all over India, from Punjab to Kerala, and Karnataka to Uttar Pradesh, attended the training programme which commenced on June 21 here.
NPC is a national level body established during the late fifties to promote productivity culture in the country. Sponsored by the government of India, it is an autonomous organization with representation from employers’ and employees’ organizations, government, professional bodies, institutions and other interests on its governing council.
