BSNL customer ‘disservice’
SUBSCRIBERS AGHAST
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, June 25: While the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) earns crores of rupees as revenue in Kashmir, it has failed to provide even basic customer care service to its subscribers subjecting them to unnecessary inconvenience.
A few years ago, the BSNL had started the Customer Care Centre in the heart of the City at Exchange Road amidst much fanfare. However, the subscribers are dissatisfied with the services.
“There is total chaos and confusion in the Customer Care Centre. The officials posted there behave in a rude way with the subscribers. Nobody is ready to render assistance to us. Most of the times the officials pass the complaints to their colleagues and vice-versa. In the process we are subjected to unnecessary harassment besides our problems remain unresolved,” the aggrieved subscribers told Greater Kashmir.
Pertinently, on its website, the BSNL claims to value subscribers. “Our growth has been made possible due to your continued support and confidence reposed in BSNL for which we are thankful and grateful to you. We assure you that we will always be at your service and we will do all the necessary for maintaining your faith reposed in us. Our motto: Customer care,” reads the webpage.
“At a time when other mobile service providers are devising customer friendly schemes for attracting more subscribers, the BSNL is yet to set the basics right,” the subscribers alleged. They appealed the senior BSNL officials to look into the matter. Despite repeated attempts, the GMT BSNL was not available for comments.
