HCBA assures legal support

Srinagar, June 25: The High Court Bar Association on Friday visited the families of the deceased youth, who were killed recently by men in uniform in down town area here and extended all legal support to them for bringing the culprits to book.
 In a statement, HCBA said they had recorded the statements of the witnesses in the killings of the Rafiq Ahmad Bangroo and Javaid Ahmad Malla. “According to witnesses the Dy SP police station Maharaj Ganj Abdul Hamid fired on Javaid kkilling him on the spot. While a sleuth of paramilitary CRPF 161 battalion hit Rafiq Ahmad Bangroo on head by a brick, who later succumbed to injuries at SKIMS,” HCBA said.
 The families of deceased youth have accused the administration and police for covering up the killings, Bar said.
 Bar has condemned the ongoing killings of youth and demanded the arrest of guilty. The Bar team comprised president, Mian Abdul Qayoom, vice-president Aijaz Bedar and general secretary G N Shaheen.
