Hoarding by petrol pumps

Srinagar, June 25: Filling stations across the Valley Friday put scores of customers to immense trouble by “creating artificial shortage” of petrol and diesel following reports of proposed hike in the fuel prices.
The director, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution, Abdul Waheed Tak, acknowledged that the filling station owners “dumped” petrol and diesel, as the reports of fuel price hike came in. “But I am looking into the issue. I have asked the owners to open the outlets because many customers were suffering,” he told Greater Kashmir.
