Naidyar seeks civic facility upgrade

Srinagar, June 25: The residents of Naidyar, Rainawari near J&K Bank branch have appealed the local MLA and the other concerned authorities to get the area lanes and by-lanes repaired at an earliest. They also complained of erratic power supply.
The residents of this Shahr-e-Khaas area said: “Dilapidated roads put us to inconvenience throughout the year”.
“During rains we have to bear with waterlogging … and face immense inconvenience in moving out of our houses,” they added.
“During dry days billows of dust emanate and we find it inconvenient to keep our windows open. We feel like prisoners in our houses,” the locals said.
Giving the summer heat, the locals said, there was every possibility of outbreak of epidemic due to persistent waterlogging.
Besides, the residents said: “We are facing erratic power supply even though our areas is metered.”
“Our children can’t study properly in the evening hours,” they added.
They appealed the local MLA to grant some money out of his constituency development funds for the area upgradation. They also appealed him to visit the area for an on-the-spot assessment.
