Omar has lost moral authority to govern: PDP
Killing of two more teenagers exposes NC-led regime
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, June 25: Expressing serious concern over continued blood bath in Kashmir, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today said that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has lost moral authority to govern the state as he has failed to protect lives of innocent people.
Strongly condemning the brutal killing of two more teenagers in Sopur in CRPF firing, PDP spokesman lamented that killing of innocent people especially the school going boys and teenagers has been going unabated and the Chief Minister of the state has been giving irrelevant statements to play to the galleries to hoodwink the people.
“The Chief Minister has lost moral authority to govern because of killing of innocent people has become a routine affair since Omar Abdullah has taken over as Chief Minister of the state,” the spokesman said and pointed towards killings to two teenagers as another example of the failure of this regime to protect lives of innocent people. He said that teenagers and school going boys were especially targeted by the forces.
“Today’s incident is another glaring example of the human rights violation in the state and insensitivity of the ruling National Conference towards human lives and human values,” he said.
He lamented that since formation of this regime killing of innocent people at the hands of government forces have been going unabated. He warned such attitude of the government would prove disastrous for the state.
