ITM website, brochure launched

Srinagar, Jun 26: The official website and brochure of International Travel Mart (IITM) were launched on Friday in New Delhi. The three-day ITM is scheduled to be held in New Delhi on August 25-27. Giving details on phone from New Delhi, Director Tourism Farooq Shah said the Minister for Tourism and Culture, Nawang Rigzin Jora, was the chief guest on the occasion.
According to Shah, speaking on the occasion, Jora said, “We hope after the commonwealth games are over, a lot of participants would visit Kashmir to enjoy golfing, rafting, water sports, mountaineering, tracking and so on.”
The event was organized in the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi on Friday night.
Jora, according to Shah, said that the State is a good destination with all tourist attraction, natural places and hoped that good number of participants for forth coming Common Wealth Games will visit the State. He said that the State has world class Golf Courses, besides, wonderful adventure activities, skatting, trekking, landscaping and meadows for enjoying the beauty of the Nature. He further said that the State has a number of Star hotels with modern infrastructure and facilities for the tourists.
The Minister asked the tour and travel operators present in the function to highlight the beauty of Kashmir through their contacts with the participants in a big way so that a number of visitors visit the State.
