KPs offer prayers at Gangabal temple

Srinagar: Kashmiri Pandits offered prayers for the second consecutive year at the ancient Gangabal temple of Lord Shiva, located at around 12,000 feet in north Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
A large number of Kashmiri Pandits participated in the yesterday's Puja sponsored by All Parties Migrant Coordination Committee (APMCC), a spokesman of the committee said today.
The centuries-old pilgrimage centre, a historic religious place for Kashmiri Pandits, is situated in the foothills of Harmukh range and is considered to be the holy abode of Lord Shiva, he said, adding the yatra was conducted by the organization last year after a gap of several years.
The yatra commenced from Jammu on June 23 and reached Naraan Naag in Ganderbal district on the same day.
