Thousands appear for CET
Srinagar, June 26: Thousands of students appeared in the Common Entrance Examination amid strike here on Saturday.
According to a local news agency KNS the students from far flung areas faced several hardships in reaching their examination centers. The Board of Professional Entrance Examinations had taken all necessary steps to conduct the examinations smoothly, the news agency said, adding that all the centers were guarded by the police to avoid any untoward incident.
The BOPEE conducted examinations of Physics and Chemistry papers today while the Biology and Mathematics would be conducted on Sunday, it said.
Talking to KNS the special officer on duty with Divisional Commissioner, Aamir Ali said if any candidate has missed the examination, the BOPEE authorities would take a decision so that these candidates would not suffer.
