Kashmiris protest in Toronto
Srinagar, June 27: A large number of Kashmiris took to streets in Toronto where leaders from G20 met.
The rally was led by Farooq Siddiqi and scores of men and women joined the rally to protest against the human rights violations in Kashmir.
According to an e-mail statement, the rally came close to 100 meters where the G-20 leaders were meeting at Down Town Toronto Metro Center.
At the end of the rally, a resolution was passed which was read by Student international League of Kashmir (SILK) director Mueen Hakak.
“Being the sons and daughters of Kashmiri soil, it is our responsibility to show our concerns about the human right abuses, which have become a norm of governance in Kashmir,” the Kashmiris based in Canada said.
“We appeal all conscious minded Kashmiris irrespective of their caste, religion or creed that they should join the peaceful protest.”
