KCCI urges govt to restrain forces

Srinagar, June 27: The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry has urged the state government to restrain security forces from violating human rights.
 According to a statement, a meeting was held on Saturday in which the recent killings of innocent youth were condemned and the Chamber impressed upon the government to restrain security forces from violating human rights even after the assurance from Prime Minister that zero tolerance will be maintained.
 “Unfortunately the ground situation is contrary to the assurance. It is felt that such actions are breading fear psychosis in the minds of general masses that they are not  safe on their own soil. People of the valley are suffering on all fronts for last two decades,” the statement added.
 ”All possible steps should be taken by the government to maintain and ensure protection to life and property for which it is responsible and must be committed,” said the statement.
