Altaf for futuristic approach in implementing schemes

Islamabad, June 2: The Forest Minister, Mian Altaf Ahmad today underscored the need for futuristic approach while implementing the programmes and schemes under Bharat Nirman for the equitable socio-economic upliftment of people.
Speaking on the second day of Bharat Nirman Public Information Campaign organized by Press Information Bureau, in collaboration with different media units and administration here, he said media could play a role in making people aware about different schemes of centre and state.
Altaf distributed prizes and cash among school children who had participated in various pre-campaign programmes organized by Directorate of Field Publicity.
Earlier, a students rally was flagged off by ADC, Bashir Ahmed Khan and CEO, Manzoor Ahmed Paul from Hanfia Eidgah in which 350 students and teachers participated.
Shafi Ayaz of J&K Bank said the Bank had launched many schemes for people especially the downtrodden. He gave example of disease, disability and distress programme carried out by J&K Bank. ACR, G M Dar gave details about the provisions of Right to Information Act.
DIG South Kashmir, Dr. Kamal Sainy, SSP, Showkat Malik were also present on the occasion.
