Raj Bhawan to oversee Govt functioning
Report To Guv’s Sectt, Administrative Secretaries Told

Srinagar, June 29: In a significant development, the state’s Raj Bhawan has issued a communiqué to all the administrative secretaries to report about the activities of their respective departments to the Governor’s Secretariat.
As per the communication sent by the Principal Secretary to the Governor, the administrative secretaries have been asked to submit the monthly progress report of the developmental works both under the state’s annual plan and the flagship projects including the Prime Minister’s Reconstruction Programme (PMRP). The administrative secretaries have been asked to furnish the report to the Governor’s Secretariat by the 5th of every month.
The state government has consequently made the Planning and Development Department (P&DD) as the nodal agency for compiling and submitting the monthly progress report to the Raj Bhawan after collecting the requisite information from the respective departments.
As a follow-up to the Raj Bhawan communiqué, the P&DD has asked the administrative secretaries “to make the required administrative/institutional arrangement to ensure that a comprehensive note on the developmental activities /achievements is sent to the P&DD by 29th of each month for further compilation/communication to the Governor’s secretariat by 4th day of the succeeding month after approval by the chief secretary.”
The process of submitting the progress report to the Raj Bhawan has already been set into motion with the P&DD asking all the administrative secretaries to submit the first report in this regard by Tuesday (June 29) so that it could be forwarded to the Governor’s Secretariat before July 5.
CM CALLS ON GOVERNOR
Meanwhile, Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, called on the Governor, NN Vohra, at Raj Bhavan, here this evening, an official spokesman said.
The Governor and the Chief Minister discussed various aspects of the obtaining security situation in Jammu and Kashmir, particularly in the backdrop of the recent and ongoing developments in the state in a meeting which last about an hour, the spokesman said.
The Governor and the Chief Minister also reviewed the arrangements made for the ensuing Amarnath Yatra, which is scheduled to commence from Pahalgam and Baltal on July 1.
