Where are the ‘people’s representatives’! I mean MLAs?

When the entire Kashmir is burning and police, paramilitary, even Army, have been tasked with controlling the flames, one wonders where are the ‘people’s representatives.’ Those who would cry from rooftops that that people have reposed trust in them, have went into complete hiding. If we talk of Srinagar city that is now in flames from past two weeks, we don’t saw even one MLA communicating to people who they claim to represent. If they don’t have the courage to go to people in this hour of crisis, who do they represent. The fact of the matter is that they are all afraid of people. Instead of  going out and meeting people they have taken the shield of police. It is highly deplorable, police is not a solution to everything. Police can handle the situation of law and order for a day or two, but when it takes a turn that asks for some political initiative, police can not be expected to solve it for the MLA that have preferred to stay home. It’s better for such ‘representatives’ to call it a day and think of some other profession.
