Dr Shah Faesal, Sakina Itoo to get Mader-e-Maherbaan award

Srinagar, June 4: IAS topper, Dr Shah Faesal and Minister for Social Welfare, Sakina Itoo will be felicitated with Mader-e-Maherbaan Award on July 29, Chief Minister’s Advisor, Mubarak Gul Friday said while speaking at Rural Development Society function in the City.
 An official handout said: “Gul announced that the society will celebrate July 29 this year as Mader-e- Meharbaan day and this year Mader-e-Maherbaan Award will be given to Dr Shah Faesal and Sakina Itoo for their extraordinary courage shown by them despite their fathers fell prey to the turmoil in the state.”           
 Gul asked the NGOs to come forward for launching a campaign to curb the tendency of suicide in the society which is increasing day by day in the state.
 He asked for taking “effective steps in coordination with government as well as masses to check the menace.”
