Youm-e-Rebhar observed in valley

Srinagar, June 6: Youm-e-Rehabar was observed at different places in the valley on Sunday to as part of the 21st death anniversary of Ayatullah Sayyid Rohullah Khomeini (RA).
Itihad-ul-Muslimeen organized a seminar at Iqbal Khomeini Hall Mohalla Syed Afzal of the city in which thousands of people participated. The function started with the recitation holy Qur’an.
The speakers included Maulana Muhammad Abbas Ansari, Muhammad Yaseen Malik, Prof Abdul Gani Bhat, Aga Syed Mujahid and Maulana Masroor Abbas. They urged the Muslim brethren to unite.
A daylong programme was also organized at Khomeini Chowk, Bemina, by the local Social Welfare Committee, which was attended by thousands of people. The programme started with the recitation of holy Qur’an.
Justice Hakim Imtiyaz, Transport Commissioner, Syed Fazlullah, was the chief guest, who delivered a lecture on the life of Imam Khomeini (RA) Others who spoke include Chief Judicial Magistrate, Muhammad Ibrahim, Vice-Chairman, Srinagar Development Authority, Kifayat Husain Rizvi, Director Local Bodies, Kh Farooq Ahmad Renzu, DC, Srinagar, Me’raj Ahmad Kakroo, and DC, Budgam, Muhammad Rafi.
The Husaini Youth Federation, Ladakh, also observed Youm-e-Rehabar at S P College auditorium, which was attended by hundreds of people.
Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim, Maulana Abbass Karari, Sheikh Tahir Shairee and Maulana Shuja’at Hussain spoke on the occasion.
Imam Khomeini Mission Circle Kashmir also observed the day at Imambara Pandrethan here. Sheikh Muhammad Taha recited the Holy Qur’an. Dr Mir Muhammad Ibrahim, Advocate Zahid Ali, and Aga Syed Abid Hussain, spoke on the occasion.
