Environmental disaster
This refers to the article titled ''Towards disaster'' by Fida Iqbal.(GK 05-06-2010). People are plundering natural resources vehemently for getting materialistic benefits, thereby inviting ecological disaster. If the same situation prevails, the world will be heading towards disasters after disasters. The celebration of June 5 as world Environment day reminds the people of the world to preserve, conserve and beautify their environment so as to live a healthier and disease-free life. Otherwise this day serves no purpose.
