Jan Mohalla complains of power trouble

Srinagar, June 7: The residents of Jan Mohalla, Lal Bazar in the City on Monday complained that they were without electricity for the last one week since the day the colony transformer developed snag.
 The residents demanded immediate repairs of the device.
 “Last week our colony transformer got damaged and till date the authorities have failed to restore electricity… We are facing inconvenience due to darkness particularly for moving out for Masjid prayers,” they said.
 “Our children can’t study properly... Besides we fear burglaries could take place in the in the darkness,” the resident said.
 They appealed to the local MLA and the Chief Engineer PDD to look into the matter.
