Urs Hazrat Nizam-ud-Din Kiyanwi (RA) begins

Babanagri (Kangan), June 7: The 118th annual Urs of Hazrat Nizam-ud-Din Kiyanwi (RA) commenced on Monday here. Hundreds of buses carrying Baba’s followers from Rajouri and Poonch reached the shrine. The district administration has kept availability of lunch and dinner for all the followers.
The member parliament, Mirza Abdul Rashid and MLA Poonch Choudhary Muhammad Aslam attended the Urs.
In 1863, at the age of 30, the Hazrat Abdullah also known as Gee Sahib came from Hazara Pakistan because his teacher Hazrat Nizam-ud-din Kiyanwi (RA) had advised him to preach Islam in other regions of this part of the world.
Gee Sahib spent 33 years of his life here for preaching Islam and died at the age of 63. He had written three books, which are used as reference in Islam. The son of Gee Sahib, Mian Nizam-ud-Din spent his entire life for preaching Islam here.
