PM’s visit always spells doom: DM

Srinagar: Commenting on the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh’s two-day visit to Valley, the Dukhtaran-e-Milat chief, Syeda Asiya Andrabi on Tuesday alleged that such visits always spelled doom on the people in Kashmir.
 “Muslims of J&K have been enduring various atrocities for the past 63 years and whenever PM or any other minister or leader visits Kashmir, they are subjected to severe physical and mental torture. We wonder why the international community maintains silence over such atrocities inflicted on Kashmiris. Could a 3-year-old child, who along with relatives was sitting on dharna at Lal Chowk, to seek punishment to the killers of her mother Nelofar and aunt Asiya, do any harm to Dr Singh. He along with others was arrested after loudly describing him danger for Dr Singh,” said Asiya in a statement.
 Meanwhile, Asiya has expressed happiness over the release of Muslim League vice-chairman, Masrat Alam Bhat.
