Prison deptt employee booked for cheating

Jammu, June 8: The Crime Branch has registered a case against a female employee of the Prison Department for allegedly duping people on the pretext of providing jobs.
The case was registered against Mudassar, a junior assistant, following directions by Chief Judicial Magistrate Jammu in an application filed by an aggrieved.
The accused official, posted in the office of Director General of Prison here, had allegedly promised Class IV jobs in the department to some youth. She had allegedly demanded Rs 1 lakh from each candidate out of which the first installment of Rs 3, 75, 000 was paid to her by the complainants as advance.
In the FIR, it has been alleged that the accused prepared a fictitious list of the selected candidates wherein the names of complainants and other candidates were figuring and conveyed to them.
