AFSPA revocation
This refers to the statement by Ali Muhammad Sagar that the present situation in Jammu and Kashmir was not good enough for revocation of the Armed Forces (Special) Powers Act. One wonders what the government is up to. On one hand, it talks of creating an atmosphere of peace and zero tolerance for human rights violations, but on the other, they are not able to get this Act revoked. That exposes the government’s double-standards on the issue. The government is just befooling people by calling for repealing of the draconian laws.
