Every district to have polytechnic: Chib

Jammu, Mar 14: The Minister for Technical Education, Prof. R S Chib today said each district would have a polytechnic college to train youth in various job oriented courses.
He said the Government was determined to spread professional and technical education across the State, particularly in far-flung areas.
Addressing public at Biaspur Parlah and Seer Balaha in R S, Chib reiterated the government’s commitment to ensure timely completion of projects and implementation of schemes.
Responding to peoples demands, Chib announced construction of a playfield in Seer Balaha and construction of lane and drain near the house of Rawail Singh.
About steps taken by the Government for people living in border and remote areas, he said various Boards had been set up which includes Kissan, SC/ST, Gujjar and Bakarwal and Board for OBC and Pahari Speaking Development Board. He said the Government earmarked Rs 10 crore in this budget for the development of villages on LoC and International border.
