Dogs scare Pamposh Colony residents
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, Mar 15: The residents of Pamposh Colony, Natipora have complained of dog menace and polythene use in the suburb area.
The locals attribute the menace to the dumping of garbage on the main road by some of the locals.
“The dogs chase vehicles and people as a result of which we live in fear and feel insecure” the locals said.
A resident, Sheikh Anjum Hussain told Greater Kashmir that although the garbage on the road was cleared by the SMC, the residents repeatedly resorted to emptying their dustbins on the roads and contributed littering and dog menace, alike.
Besides, polythene is being thrown on the roads and even a nearby water body-the Doodh Ganga canal, leading to pollution.
The residents of the area have appealed to the authorities to look into the matter.
Despite repeated attempts, the SMC officials could not be contacted for comment.
