Sogami reviews Rakh-e-Arth rehabilitation

Srinagar, Mar 15: The Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Nasir Sogami on Monday reviewed the rehabilitation  of  Dal dwellers at Rakh-i-Arth, Bemina, Srinagar, for which 7526 kanals of land has been transferred to LAWDA, an official handout said.
 “During the meeting, the Minister was informed that about 3400 kanals of land has been measured till date by the recently constituted survey team. It was decided that from April 1, 2010, payment of 1800 kanals, out of 3400 kanals, would be made to the land holders, as per the spot position and payment of other 1600 kanals would also be made by 15th April.”
  Besides, Rs 40,000/-  per kanal are  being paid to the land holders, the handout added. 
 It was decided that the remaining 4000 kanals would also be measured by the survey team and payment in this regard be made  on the same pattern and the entire process in this regard would be completed by ending May 2010.
