Burglary at ‘secured’ Friends Colony

Srinagar, Mar 17: Thieves decamped with goods worth lakhs of rupees from a house in posh and high security Friends Colony near Airport on City outskirts.
 Reports said the thieves struck into the house of Maqbool Shah and decamped with the goods worth lakhs of rupees.
 “We were at New Delhi and on our return found the entire house ransacked and goods including furniture, fixtures golden items and Pashmina shawls missing. We have registered a case but the matter should be thoroughly probed as the area is surrounded by police and other security agencies,” the family told Greater Kashmir.
 Incidentally, the Friends Colony is located near the Srinagar International Airport and houses residences of many VIPs including some top police officers are located there.
