DFP demands medicare for Shah

Srinagar, Mar 17: Activists of Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party along with several other pro-freedom organizations today organized a joint protest here to protest against the denial of medicare to its chairman Shabir Ahmad Shah and other pro-freedom leaders and activists languishing in various jails.
“As long as Indian rulers don’t change their stance towards pro-freedom leaders and activists representing the sentiment, they can’t restore the confidence of Kashmiris,” said acting Chairman of DFP Muhammad Abdullah Tari.
Besides JKDFP the other organizations which participated in protest included Awami Action Committee, Anjuman Shri Shian, JKLF(R), Muslum Leage(Mustaq-ul-Islam),Salvation Movement, Peoples Leage, PL(Khan Sopur), Muslim Khwatan Markaz(Zameroda Habah), Muslim Khwatan Markiz(Yasmen Raja),Tehriki Peoples Conference, Islamic Political Party, Peoples Political Party, International Forum for Justice, JK Human Rights Forum, and father of Wamiq Farooq also participated.
More than a dozen protesting pro-freedom leaders of these originations including Tari, Dr G M Hubbi, Zafar Akbar Bhat, Hilal Ahmad War, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, Mukhtar Ahmad Sofi, Zahoor Ahmad Sheikh, Muhammad Yusuf Naqash, Ziauldin Bukhari, Waseem Lone and Ajaz Gul were arrested and lodged in Police Station Kothi Bagh.
