‘We are not RAW agents’

ROSHAN MUGHAL

Muzaffarabad: Mar 18: The Legislative Assembly of Pakistan administered Kashmir (PaK) witnessed noisy scenes on Thursday after the former speaker Choudhary Abdul Majeed accused present dispensation led by Raja Farooq Hadier of following the foot steps of Maharaja Hari Singh and former Pakistan president General Parvaiz Musharraf.
Majeed, who was participating in a debate, triggered by a statement, attributed to PaK Prime Minister, said, “It seems Maharaja Hari Singh is head of the state here. He declaring legislators as RAW agents is unacceptable. We are elected representatives and not agents. ”
“Some legislators are RAW agents,” a section of Urdu press had quoted Haider as having said.
Though Law and Parliamentary affairs, Minister, Abdul Rasheed Abbasi categorically denied the statement.  He presented the newspaper in the house saying there was no mention of the words “RAW agents” in the statement but these words were mentioned in  the headline. “Government firmly believes that all legislators are patriots, but those involved in terrorist activities either in Pakistan or here are surely the RAW agents as they are strengthening the hands of enemies,” he added.
