Bill on Islamic University introduced

Jammu, Mar 1: A separate private member’s bill for setting up of an Islamic University in the state was introduced in Assembly today.
Independent MLA Abdul Rashid, on behalf of NC legislator Choudhary Muhammad Ramzan, introduced a bill for establishment of an Islamic University to offer Islamic, scientific, technical and other education as also to usefully utilize the surplus finance of the Karwani-Islami J&K.
The bill envisages the establishment of the proposed Sheikh-ul-Alam Research University Kashmir which will disseminate advance knowledge, wisdom and understanding and will offer Islamic, scientific, medical and technical education of highest standards through teaching and research. The House allowed introduction of the bill for discussion and consideration.
