Shopian case hearing today
SAMAAN LATEEF
Srinagar, Mar 1: The High Court Monday adjourned the hearing of the Shopian case for Tuesday.
The division bench comprising chief justice, Justice Barin Ghosh and Justice Muhammad Yaqoob Mir said the Bar Association had requested the Court not to pass any order in the Public Interest Litigation filed by it in the Shopian case, as the Bar members could not attend the Court in view of today’s strike.
However, counsel for CBI Anil Bhan informed the court that CBI had produced Challan before the Chief Judicial Magistrate Srinagar against 13 people for allegedly fabricating evidence and witnesses. He said Majlis-e-Mushawarat had nothing to do with the case and it should be closed.
The Court adjourned the case for Tuesday.
