Lal Chowk design Chief Architect’s baby

GK NEWS NETWORK

Srinagar, Mar 19: The office of the Chief Town Planner on Friday clarified that Lal Chowk beautification plan as being executed wasn’t that submitted by the office but the one proposed by Chief Architect of the state, Muneer Ahmed Khan.
“We too had submitted a plan but the one by the Chief Architect was finally approved,” the Town Planner’s office spokesman said.
“Basically,” he said “three plans were tabled before the committee appointed for the beautification and one of them was selected.”
Meanwhile, Chief Architect confirmed that his design was finally selected for the beautification of the City centre.
Pertinently, as a goodwill gesture, the Chief Minister has granted Rs two crore for the Lal Chowk facelift.
