JK Bank holds financial literacy camp

Srinagar, Mar 21: J&K Bank organised an awareness camp on Financial Literacy and Credit Counselling (FLCC) yesterday at Konibal, Pampore in South Kashmir.
Additional Development Commissioner A H Bhat presided over this one day counselling camp. A large number of people were present on the occasion who were apprised about the importance of financial literacy and various loan schemes for different sectors of economy.
A H Bhat thanked the general public for their enthusiasm in attending the cam. He asked the bankers operating here to come up to the expectation of people for uplift of the society.
J&K Bank Vice president, M S Wani who is currently Zonal Head, South Kashmir, gave a detailed account of various schemes of the bank. “We have tailored loan schemes for all segments of economy, be it agriculture, artisans, horticulture, commercial transport or services sector. It is endeavour to provide all possible financial support to the local economies so that unexplored opportunities in our economy are explored to the full extent,” said M S Wani.
Vice President, Muhammad Sidiq Wani, who was also present on the occasion spoke about the changing banking scenario and the contribution of J&K Bank in bringing world class banking technology at the doorsteps of the citizens of this state irrespective of their location. Earlier, convener of FLCC, G.R Kumar, briefed about the purpose of awareness camp in the area.
Deputy Director Employment, Block Development Officers of Tral and Pampore, assistant director handloom, handicraft, fisheries, industries and project officer D.R.D.A. were also present on the occasion.
