National Awardee teachers call on CM

Jammu, Mar 21: A delegation of All India National Awardee Teachers State Unit Jammu and Kashmir led by Muhammad Ashraf Khan and Vijaya Thakur called on chief minister Omar Abdullah here to apprise him of the demands.
“The state was striving for achieving 100  per cent literacy  so it is mandatory  to boost the morale of the teachers in general and National Awardee Teachers in particular so teaching community join hands towards the objective, Khan, according to a statement issued said.
The chief minister gave a patient hearing to the demands of the awardees at the meeting attended by advisors Mubarak Gul and Davinder Rana.
According to media secretary, their demands include out of turn promotion / two advance increments, reservation for the wards of awardees in all Professional and Educational Institutions, superannuation age in favour of Awardees as in other states, representation in the House of elders in JK.
The delegation also met Speaker Assembly M Akbar Lone, MoS Power & CAPD, Master Ashok Sharma, Harsh Dev Singh and Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami.
The delegation was accompanied by Mahinder Kour, Bopinder Shastri, Nazir Ahmad, Shamima, Rafiqa and Ramesh Chandra.
