KU holds workshop for college principals

Srinagar, Mar 22: Kashmir University’s Academic Staff College on Monday organized a workshop for principals and academics of various degrees colleges in Kashmir. The workshop
The two-day workshop has been organized in collaboration with the University’s Directorate of Information Technology and Support Systems (IT&SS). Prof. N K Jain, former vice-chancellor of University of Rajasthan, inaugurated the workshop.
"It is time for the University and its functionaries to gear up to meet the challenges coming up in the next few years in the light of latest Bills related to education being introduced in the Parliament," he said while congratulating the ASC for holding the important workshop. Later, KU vice-chancellor, Prof Riyaz Punjabi interacted with the principals and academics. He congratulated the ASC for holding the workshop, which, he said, was an important initiative to inform the principals about the latest challenges in the field of e-governance and education.
In his welcome address, Director ASC, Prof Mehraj-ud-Din, said: "The workshop is organized to provide a forum for analysis of current trends in governance through experience-sharing by the participants," he said.
