Jammu, Mar 23: Speaker Muhammad Akbar Lone on Tuesday asked the government to probe the alleged illegal and backdoor appointments in Islamic University of Science and Technology at Awantipora.
The matter was raised by the MLA Langate Abdul Rasheed Sheikh in the state legislative assembly alleging that some blue eyed candidates have been appointed through back-door in the prestigious University.
He handed over some documents to the Speaker Muhammad Akbar Lone, seeking action against those who have “thrown all norms to winds by appointing blue eyed candidates in the University”. After going through the document, Speaker asked the concerned minister to look into the alleged unlawful appointments made in Islamic university. He directed the minister concerned, to look as to how in the violation of fundamental rights and prescribed norms the appointments were made by the university authorities.
