JKML earns of Rs 75 lakh

Jammu, Mar 23: Minister for Industries and Commerce, S. S. Slathia said that J&K Minerals Limited (JKML) has earned a revenue of Rs 74.70 lakh through open auction of Sapphire. The Minister was addressing a meeting of senior officers, convened to take stock of functioning of JKML here today, an official statement said.
Dwelling on the achievements, Slathia said the Corporation has entered into a joint venture with National Minerals Development Corporation (NMDC) for exhortation of Magnetite per day with project cost of Rs. 122.89 crores, hundred metric tonnes per day of Magnetite of Rs 122.89 crores. The Minister further said that the Centre has sanctioned a Wool and Woolens Development Centre at a cost of Rs. 5 crore after successful completion of phase –I of wool development initiative in the State under J&K Handloom Development. He said the defunct Pashmina Project at Basohli has been revived at a cost of Rs 70 lakh for production of quality Pashmina shawls in this Centre.
