PHE starts helpline

Srinagar, Mar 23: The Public Health Engineering Department has risen to the situation arising out of water scarcity in the City by starting a helpline for the complainants.
 A department spokesman said the control room was working 24 hours to monitor the situation.
 “We can be contacted at 2477207, 2452047,” he added.
 When contacted the Executive Engineer, Srinagar Division, Fari Ahmed Malik said some 10 tankers were catering to the needs of the people.
 “The water scarcity isn’t that big but still have mobilized all our resources to feed the affected,” Rafiq told Greater Kashmir.
 He appealed the residents of the affected areas to call on the helpline for water tankers.
 “I am personally monitoring the log of the calls we revieve,” the Xen confirmed.
