58 militants undergoing convictions in JK

Jammu, Mar 24: The government today said that 58 militants, including 43 foreign, were undergoing convictions for indulging in militancy-related incidents in the state.
 “At present 43 foreigners and 15 local militants are undergoing convictions for indulging in militancy-related activities in J&K,” Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah said in an official release. They will be released only after completion of their terms of punishment, he said.
 He said at present 2,477 inmates were lodged in various jails in the state including 337 convicts and 1,914 under-trials.
