Comrade Inn inaugurated

NAZIA AKHTAR

Srinagar, Mar 24: The Minister of Rural Development, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Sagar on Wednesday inaugurated Comrade Inn –a hotel at fashionable Raj Bagh.
Sagar hailed the hotel management for its business venture, which he hoped would promote tourism and generate employment.
“These ventures do represent the claims of our government that we are trying our best to restore peace in our state,” he said.
Sagar added: “We always encourage such ventures. Our Chief Minister is every time asking the people who are well off to come forward and create infrastructure for tourism and development, which in turn will generate employment for the youth in J&K.”
“This hotel has got a good location,” Sagar said, adding that the hotel would set trend for others to set up such establishments.
The Minister of State for Tourism, Nasir Sogami who was also present on the occasion, said: “It has become extremely important to provide world-class facilities to the tourists coming to the Valley.”
“Establishments like Comrade Inn are a step towards that end. We are trying to get more and more tourists to the Valley and we hopefully will be witnessing huge increase in the tourist inflow in the coming days,” he said.
“We need such kind of infrastructure development not only in Srinagar, Gulmarg  and Pahalgam but also at other tourist destinations.
