Valley gets first boutique hotel

Srinagar, Mar 24: Valley’s gets its first boutique hotel, ‘Comrade Inn’ was thrown open today.
The hotel at Rajbagh here with 40 luxury Deluxe rooms contains all important facilities required for corporate and business houses.
“All our rooms are centrally heated. We have noiseless windows, best bath fittings and insulated glasses,” said Sajid Farooq Shah, Managing Director Comrade Inn.
“We have one coffee shop, one restaurant and a conference hall as well. We also have a space for the parking of 30 cars,’ he said.
“We have employed more than 80 people here. Ours is the first boutique hotel of Kashmir. Presently the concept of five star hotels which used to have 700-800 rooms has become obsolete. A new concept has come up of the boutique hotels,” he said.
Shah added: “All new properties are made on this pattern. These hotels have 40-50 rooms which can be easily maintained as per the five star categories and can serve the corporate and business houses well. We have all the facilities which are required for corporate and business houses.”
“To set up this hotel I have visited the best hotels of the world to enable myself to come up with a wonderful facility in the best possible way,” he added.
