Let’s not forget the contribution of GMC teachers
This refers to Dr. M.S. Khuroo article in Greater Kashmir titled, "Trip down the memory lane". Thank you very much Dr. Khuroo sahib in reminding us of our old memories associated with our student life. But how he forgot to mention the names of our teachers who had a great role to play in our professional lives. We should never forget their contribution in teaching us and they were the founders making the Srinagar GMC. How come we can forget the services of Prof Dr. (late) Ali Muhammad Jan, Prof Dr. Hamid Durrani, Prof Dr. Verma, Prof Dr. Minhas, Prof Dr (late) Puran Raina, Prof Dr.(late) Ghulam Rasool, Prof Dr. Girdari Lal, Prof Dr. Bahan, Dr. Sumair Singh, Prof Dr. (late) Harbajan Singh, Prof Dr. Mir Maqbool Sahib, Prof Dr. Sharma of Pharmacology Department, Prof Dr.(late) I.P. Moreover we should not forget and pay our gratitude to the staff, the lab assistants, nurses, whole junior staff and the peons of the SMHS Hospital. We should be proud of our teachers, whole staff of the GMC and SMHS Hospital because they were the pioneers of our Medical School in Srinagar and we owe them a lot in making us what we are today.
